Welcome!

If you want to nourish a child’s faith in God, I hope this site will help you. Jesus knew the power of stories embedded with truth. Like planting a seed, the kernel of truth grows and bears the fruit of faith and character. The Bible is full of stories, many about dysfunctional families struggling to remain faithful to our faithful God. You are not alone in your quest.

Here at this site, you will find Biblical wisdom delivered through devotional meditations, as well as stories, old and new. Reading aloud doesn’t have to stop once children can read for themselves. God’s truth can be found in all great books if you look. Conversations centered on stories can illuminate the courage, faithfulness, loyalty, humility, kindness, and love shown by great characters. Some of the posts to this site recommend books for family reading. Subscribe so you don’t miss any new content.

As you may have guessed, I love stories. I have great memories of sitting on my dad’s lap as he read to me. My mom read books out loud on long car trips. As we grew, we took turns reading out loud, too. I spent hours reading to my own children, and now to my grandchildren.

I write picture books, middle-grade fiction, and devotional meditations. Subscribe to my list to get the latest news.

My husband and I homeschooled our four children. They are all married and have families of their own. We have nine grandchildren, preschool through elementary school age. Besides creating and sharing stories, I interact with grandchildren, hike, watch wildlife, camp, bake, read, draw, and quilt.
